Paper Adventures Team Hop March 2021: Split Design

Hello there, and thanks for joining me for this month’s Paper Adventures Team Hop! This month we are playing with the “split design” technique and are delighted to have guest designer Windy Ellard joining us!

I’ve just moved house and my craft room is in a state of chaos, so I’m sharing a card that I made a while ago which fits the brief!

The patterned black and white cardstock is split across the card base, leaving a gap for the “hello” sentiment to be tucked in. Next, I stamped a large floral image, embossed it in gold and watercoloured it. I then used my paper trimmer to split the image horizontally and vertically into 4 pieces and popped them on top to complete the card.

I loved how this turned out and tried the same technique again with my Stampin’ Up! products at Christmas time last year!

Which card is your favourite? Let me know in the comments below!

Now it’s time to hop over to the lovely Siobhan’s blog to see her amazing creation!

Your first card is gorgeous…love the gold embossing. The second is a great layout with that beautiful DSP I miss. I might have stashed some somewhere. Thank you for letting me join your team blog hop this month. I think you did an awesome job creating if your craft room is in chaos.
